The Flying Nightingale is done messing around, it's time to get serious
“The Flying Nightingale”,
Hailing straight out of Kansas, Scott Nightingale has been a lifelong active motorcyclist, riding just about every 2 wheeled machine known to man, and even spent some time racing on the 4 wheel side of things. It’s hard to step away from flattrack motorcycle racing..
“Yep, been doing it my whole life” Scott says “ from building choppers and race bikes to race cars and everything in between, I love it"
Scott has been a long time Yamaha man, as detailed in his bikes and leathers that go back to the famous Yamaha bumblebee livery. This year is going to be different, the famous yellow racing bike will be replaced with Honda red.
“I have been watching the Honda’s for awhile now, they are fast on the track and seem to run well. I just think we are at the end of the development on the Yamaha 500 side of things, and I am excited to give the 4 valver a try as we have secured a real nice Missile framer from the ex-Reed racing stables and it’s a good one” Scott said
Of course, all racers like to have a plan when it comes to the season, but as we all know in racing that anything can happen and sometimes things just don’t pan out like we want to.
Scott continues, “We definitely had our highs and lows last race season and we didn’t get to accomplish what we wanted to. I battled motor problems on the Yamaha twin since last year. I thought we would have it fixed-go all the way to a race and BAM it was always something and we never got a fair shake. Finally, Erik Bland from Colorado took over and got it running top notch! We were finally able to score a win in my HomeState in Stockton, Kansas in August. We have set ourselves a few goals next year including more traveling and more WINS, I have to give thanks to my mechanic (wife), driver (wife) and all my other sponsors (still only his wife)
Come see Scott represent again in his Homestate race in Stockton, Kansas. The KING OF KANSAS double header on August 4th and 5th during the Rooks County FREE fair.
