Xtreem Flattrack Honors the late Mark Gibson in Stockton, KS

The Xtreem Flattrack I70 Kansas Fair Series State Championships finale will be held on August 11th and 12th at the Stockton 1/2 Mile. In honor of the late racer Mark Gibson, it will be named the “Mark Gibson Memorial Halfmile”

Mark Gibson the 59-year-old veteran and multi champion from Chromo, Colorado was killed in a racing accident at the Sherman County Speedway in Goodland, KS on Friday August 8th 2014. The event was the 6th round of the now defunct Great Plains Flattrack Series.

“It hits especially close to home for me” says XFT President Jake Latimer, “I was competing in the race when it happened, and it all went down right in front of me. Everyone knew on the cooldown lap it was a real bad situation. First responders were right on hand, but unfortunately Mark took his last checkered flag on the front straightaway that evening and it’s one I will never forget. Mark was a Friend and a fierce competitor, everyone here at Xtreem Flattrack is beyond honored to host the Stockton, Kansas memorial races. in his memory.”

Come out and witness all the action for yourself as our racers battle tooth and nail at the Kansas State Championships Finale in Stockton on August 11th and 12th.
